For nearly two decades, Heather has been on the front lines of education within the Calgary Board of Education. This extensive experience represents a deep understanding of our classrooms, the needs of our children, and the vital partnership between educators and parents in fostering student success. Heather has worked directly with students, collaborated with families to ensure their child's learning is supported, and invested in the future of our education system by mentoring new teachers.
Furthermore, Heather's commitment to educational excellence is underscored by her academic achievements, including a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary. Combined with her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, Heather possesses a comprehensive understanding of educational principles and the broader social and global contexts that shape our communities.

Her Priorities
The number of students in the CBE continues to increase. The availability of resources does not match this increase. Heather Hall pledges to actively collaborate with stakeholders and advocate to meet each child's needs.

Teacher & Advocate
A dedicated teacher since 2004 and a proud mom, Heather has consistently advocated for student success through collaboration with parents, teachers, and school leaders.

Instructional Leader
In addition to her classroom work, Heather has led fellow educators in implementing literacy strategies and navigating school board initiatives. She continues to mentor new teachers and support them as they grow into their roles.

Published Children's Author
Heather’s passion for literacy goes beyond the classroom. In 2023, she published A Home For Grumbly Bear, a children’s book that has brought her into schools across Calgary. Through her visits, she shares behind-the-scenes stories of writing and publishing, sparking excitement for reading and writing among young students.
